We use personal information to create accounts, operate listings and exchanges, coordinate shipping, process payments, send service-related emails, provide support, prevent fraud, and maintain platform security.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand and improve the service.

3. Health-Related Information

We recognize that a member's cancer-related eligibility information is sensitive. We do not ordinarily request medical records or diagnosis documentation.

Please do not post diagnoses, treatment information, or other sensitive personal details publicly unless you deliberately choose to share them.

4. Who Receives Information

We use third-party service providers to operate the website, including Supabase for account and database services, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for payments, EasyPost for shipping-related services, and Resend for email delivery.

Service providers receive information needed for their functions. Shipping carriers and participating members may receive names and addresses necessary to complete an exchange.

We do not sell member information or use health-related eligibility information for targeted advertising.

5. Shipping Address Privacy

Shipping labels and carrier records may display sender and recipient names and addresses. We share information needed to complete a shipment and expect members to use it only for that purpose.

We cannot guarantee that an address appearing on a physical shipping label will remain hidden from the other participant.

6. Payments

Stripe processes payment information. We Pass It On does not collect complete card numbers through its checkout forms. We may retain payment amounts, statuses, and transaction identifiers for accounting, support, refunds, and fraud prevention.

7. Public Content

Information you choose to publish in listings, profiles, or thank-you messages may be visible to other members or website visitors. Do not include private contact details or sensitive information in public posts.

8. Cookies and Security

We use authentication and other technologies necessary to operate and protect the service. Additional analytics or advertising technologies, if introduced, will require corresponding policy updates.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Retention and Deletion

We retain information while needed to operate accounts and exchanges, provide support, prevent misuse, and meet applicable legal or accounting obligations.

You may request account closure or deletion of eligible personal information. Some transaction, security, and legal records may need to be retained.

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Additional rights may apply under your state's privacy laws.

We will review requests and respond as required by applicable law.

11. Children

The service is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly offer accounts to children.
