A little about how we do things.

1. Who Can Participate

We Pass It On is intended for adults aged 18 and older in the United States. Anyone eligible to use the service may offer permitted items. Claiming items is reserved for members who attest that they are currently living with cancer.

We do not ordinarily request medical records or verify diagnoses. Members must provide accurate information and must not misrepresent their eligibility.

2. Items Are Free

Items offered through We Pass It On must be given without an item purchase price. Recipients may pay shipping charges, a disclosed platform support fee, and any optional contribution they choose to make.

Members may not request additional payment outside the platform as a condition of providing an item. Optional contributions do not affect a member's eligibility to receive an item.

3. Listing Responsibilities

Donors must own or have permission to give away each item. Descriptions and photographs must accurately represent its condition. Material defects must be disclosed.

Members may not list unlawful, stolen, counterfeit, recalled, hazardous, or otherwise prohibited items. We may remove listings that present safety, legal, or community concerns.

4. Requests and Exchanges

Requesting an item does not guarantee that it will be received. Availability may change, and exchanges may be canceled when fulfillment is not possible.

Members must cooperate reasonably with the shipping process, provide accurate information, and communicate respectfully.

5. Shipping and Payments

Shipping charges and applicable fees are displayed before payment. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Shipping services are provided by independent carriers.

6. Community Conduct

Harassment, threats, discrimination, impersonation, fraud, exploitation, and unauthorized payment requests are prohibited.

Members must respect others' privacy, including shipping addresses and health-related information.

7. Member Content

You are responsible for content you submit, including listings, photographs, profile details, and thank-you messages. You must have the right to share that content.

You grant We Pass It On a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, and display submitted content as necessary to operate the service. You retain ownership of your original content.

We may remove content or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or enforcement of these Terms.

8. No Medical Advice

We Pass It On is not a healthcare provider and does not offer diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice. Community content should not replace guidance from qualified healthcare professionals.

9. Items and Service Availability

Items are provided by individual members. We do not independently inspect or guarantee their condition, suitability, safety, or delivery.

The service is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, We Pass It On disclaims warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

10. Account Restrictions and Closure

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, threaten members, or misuse the platform. You may request account closure by contacting us.

11. Changes and Applicable Law

We may update these Terms and will post a revised effective date. Material changes may require additional notice or acceptance.

These Terms are governed by Arizona law, except where mandatory laws require otherwise.
